Is wearing masks are effective against the coronavirus disease?
The first thing you should know about upcycle masks (non-medical), they are effective only when used in combination with frequent hand-cleaning and with social distancing. If you wear a mask, then you must know how to use it properly.
It's all about protecting others!
Why we make masks?
Simple! We want to continue to do what we love and it's surfing and traveling. We decided to recycle our leftover fabric to make an upcycle mask and contribute to helping reduce the spread!
Here are a few tips on why and how to wear a upcycle fabric mask
1-You'll Have a Barrier
The idea is that it protects the person wearing the mask and protects the individuals that the person with the mask comes into contact with. Additionally, the masks serve as a really helpful physical barrier when you cough or sneeze.
2-You Won't Touch Your Face
A non-medical face mask reminds you not to touch your face which protects you from any virus on your hands.
3-You Could be a Carrier
Even if you aren't showing symptoms, you could still have the disease and unknowingly pass it onto others.
4-You Make a Statement
Wearing a mask, you provide a positive statement to others that they should be taking the pandemic more seriously. Plus, you can get masks that will match your outfit!
5-How to wear a face mask?
Before putting on a mask, clean your hands
Cover your mouth and nose with the mask and make sure it stays on without gap
Avoid touching the mask while using it
To remove the mask, remove it from behind (string) try to not touch the front of the mask.
